She positively hated this human girl. Every single part of her body utterly despised her existence. Each and every one of their inevitable meetings, every moment spent even remotely in contact only amplified her hatred. It was hatred that she couldn't set aside, hatred that clouded her judgment. She sought only to solve puzzles herself, or as a team, not have them utterly spoiled before her eyes.

Yet here she was, sitting across the table from the very human she hated. Were they all like this? Was every human she was doomed to meet going to eventually do this to her? It couldn't be, it was just this one; this single human. Shea. The name dripped black in her mind, every bit of her anger focused on it, drawing her full attention to it. Here she sat, face to face, with a puzzle in hand. Perhaps this moment would be different, perhaps...

"Oh, come on, even I can do that"

No, don't; she knew what was coming, she knew the words that would follow in just a few moments, she knew exactly what the girl would say next. She knew, she dreaded it, and at the same time, the smallest voice within her demanded it; demanded the words that she knew would follow.

"You just twist it to the side and there's a key inside; those things are so out of style that--"

In a flash, the troll girl was upon her in mid-sentence. Wasn't it an obvious thing that things stop being popular? Fads, man, fads were how the world ran! It wasn't her problem that this crazy troll girl couldn't keep up, and it wasn't her fault that things were what they were! Yet now she was on her back, on the floor, with bits of food and silverware from the table littering the floor all around her.

"What the hell is your problem--?!"

Her words were choked out, barely audible; the green troll over her had clawed hands wrapped around her neck. What the fuck was even wrong with her? It wasn't that shocking of an answer! Get the fuck off, why don't you?! She wanted to shout, she tried to fight back, but she was at a disadvantage. Her only opportunity would be when her grip loosened, when that moment of weakness could be exploited and she could just break free.

"Get-- Get off of me, you--!"

Without warning, strange lips, foreign lips locked with her own. As if that wasn't surprising enough, there was something wet and slimy, something-- a tongue writhing in her mouth. More than the surprise of it all was the anger that came with it, and swiftly she clamped her teeth down in an attempt to do away with the alien invader forcing this on her. If this was what constituted some kind of fucked up alien mating ritual, she wasn't going to let things go that smoothly.

"I said get off!"

The slightest hint of control returned to the troll's features at the loud proclamation and she recoiled away, pulling her arms close to her chest and looking fearfully upon the human girl. She had hated her, yes, absolutely loathed her existence, but what was that? The feelings lingered, the hate and anger still coursed through her, and yet as her still-angered eyes rose to look upon the other girl, instead of the anger that should have been present in her as well, there was something distinctively different. She was grinning.

"If I'm the first one playing this game, I intend to do it my way!"

This had to be the first time, the first chance at this encounter. If someone else had already experienced it, why hadn't they talked about it? This was a first, and she was going to monopolize the chance. With a sudden yell, she leapt from the ground straight at the troll, intent on holding the reins in this little game. Mating ritual or not, she wasn't bending to anyone else's wishes; she controlled things, not the other damn way around.
