"This is so unfair."

From somewhere in the depths of her closet, Chrysi's voice chirps a muffled question- one that Zurahe doesn't bother answering until she sticks her head out and repeats it without a wall of clothes in her way.

"What's unfair?"

"This. This whole... thing."

She uncrosses one of her arms and motions at the pile of stockings already on the bed, a variety of colors and patterns and knits that make her cross her arms even tighter. The collection of stockings- about four pairs, two of them recently alchemized- she'd shown the human girl paled in comparison. So did pretty much anything she owned in comparison to anything Chrysi did- it seemed horribly unfair, in her mind, when the girl had done nothing to earn it but get sent to the right guardian.

Then again, she had that problem with a lot of the humans- though she supposed their methods for determining someone's place in the world were only slightly less biased than that of trolls.

"Well you did ask to see mine," Chrisy replies loftily, still peeking out from the closet. "And I did warn you there were a lot."

"Didn't think anyone ever needed this many pairs of stockings. Or could afford 'em all," comes the sour response, and she flicks a finger at a lacy pair nearby. It's a close thing, since her claw nearly catches on it, but she manages not to damage it. "Couldn't even wear some of these into a fight."

"Well of course not, they're not meant to be worn for things like that!"

That draws a raised eyebrow, and Zurahe flops back onto a chair, no longer paying even the slightest of her sullen attention to Chrysi's collection.

"Never mind, in that case. Bit useless, aren't they?"

Because there's really no point to them, she thinks, if they're just going to break at the slightest thing.

"That may be, but I still say a nice pair of white ones would look lovely on you," Chrysi hums, and Zurahe finds a pair of them drifting unceremoniously onto her head. "So stop sulking and try them on. It's not like you have to fight anything around here."

The troll girl turns to give Chrysi a Look, lips pursed to one side and eyes narrowed- but she starts toeing off her boots regardless.
