CURRENT SOTG POST Howdy everybody! Real life made this week's SotG a day late, whoops! But at present, we're bringing you some lovely updates, some further questions, perhaps a potato or two, and some reminders! First and foremost, we've got almost everyone's response on the new format rule & Pesterchum post, thanks for being so quick, everyone! Second, Skie is insane and put together a vertical chronological listing of all the Scrib posts since its inception! If you notice anything out of place, please make sure to say so and we'll get it updated accordingly! In similar Skie-insanity fashion, the first part of the image-version of the timeline is up as well, covering all posts prior to the first player's entry into the game! DERSE/PROSPIT MINGLE?

Third, it looks like there's a high probability of another Derse/Prospit mingle in the near future. If anyone would like to offer input, suggestions, or simply to plot with others for this event, now's the time to do so! There might even be, gasp, NPCs to interact with on the moons! Think of all you could do, think of all the dreams you can have!

Propaganda posters!!

This was an idea I talked about on plurk sometime back, so I'll repost it here!

So let's talk propaganda posters, because it not a war without both sides slinging mud at each other. This was a bit of headcanon I got from another game and I like little details like this a lot? It also gives characters something to react to or talk about, because the propaganda posters are mostly going to be about the Heroes on the other moon!

A lot of what's on them is obviously derogatory and full of half-truths or lies, and I imagine that most of the propaganda emphasizes "look at what we have and they don't" and "what they have sucks balls". Stuff like "THE BLIND LEADING THE BLIND, THE FACTS BEHIND THE LIGHT KINGDOM'S RELIANCE ON BLIND SEERS", "THEY HAVE A ROGUE ON THE LOOSE BUT DO NOTHING TO STOP THE THREAT. THEY WILL BE THEIR OWN DOWNFALL.", etc etc. I've got some more examples in this plurk towards the end. Of course, considering there's three sessions spread across both moons, it isn't always easy to tell who the posters are actually referring to.

Thoughts, more suggestions on this? I just like headcanon guys.

Awww, cute. And they'll probably have some depressing "here's some dangerous facts" ones since they're supposed to be fatalistic... Prospit won't have any like "WE CAN DO IT." :(

There could always be propaganda posters laughing at (probably Derse posters jabbing at Prospit) laughing about dead heroes, too? Maybe! In any case, the exclusivity of certain roles makes for obvious propaganda (ie: Having only one Mind and Life player, and having only one Page) so perhaps avoiding those to keep things confusingly vague would be good!

Oh yes! Probably rubbing in that those heroes are DEAD, especially. Keep the propaganda vague or at least subtle about who they're referring to is good, yes.

Some fun little notes about roles/classes of dead players! The following roles/aspects are exclusive to dead players of either moon. If they're listed, then that means the opposite moon had none of those amongst their corpses! Easy to make fun of what the other moon lost that you didn't.

Prospit has two dead Witches and a dead Thief. They've also got two dead Hope players and a dead Space, Breath, and Doom player.

Derse has a dead Prince, Seer, and Rogue. Plus they've got two dead Life players and a dead Heart and Light player.

Both moons lost Pages, Maids, and Knights. And also both lost Mind and Void players. So those sorts of rubbing-it-in posters could be on either moon.

For starting out now, I have a question on your preferred commenting format!

Would it be convenient for you if we did a single comment now of all their activity thus far?

Would it be better if we make a few comments, each linking thread(s) on related topics? The example summary is IMP SMASHING LIKE A BOSS, so it'd make sense if that linked only threads that reference Nik fighting with imps... but we all know she did more than that, so other threads that feature personal growth, or quest things, or interactions with others might each get grouped together two?

I mean, I guess we'll end up doing the second as we go anyway, but would it be easier for us to start out grouping them like that?

Lumping everything together to get them caught up is acceptable! Separating them by topic isn't super necessary, but yes, if you want to post all activity thus far, then we'll get everyone leveled up accordingly. Later on you can continue to apply for increases as you see fit!

Lastly, Skie has a request! There's a flash being put together and there's an opportunity to include various player scenes throughout the flash. If you've got a request, now's your chance to see if it can be made a reality! If you're able to contribute artistically, that makes things even better and easier. Otherwise, there are ways to make scenes a reality.

Ooooo. If you wanted to toss some Phylus sprites and some details my way for Phylus freakout, that could totally be a thing! I've got a few imp sprites that I put together that he could be surrounded by, as well. Dohohoho (I am not evil at all, clearly)

I already volunteered to do one panel edit, but I'm up to do another one or two if people have scenes they want done! I'll just have to confirm/veto based on how easily I think I can do the picture in question.

That said... I'd also love to see a 2-3 second blurb of a Durian sprite running between alchemy equipment, with a looming pile of STUFF to the side. :D
